Man Busted Stealing Library Donation Box in Tewksbury

A 26-year-old man has been arrested after police say he stole a donation box from the Tewksbury Public Library on Friday afternoon, Feb. 2.

Tewksbury police ask anyone who recognizes this man to contact investigators. He allegedly stole money from the donation box at the library on Friday, Feb. 2.

Anderson Phao, of Tewksbury, is charged with theft from a building, breaking into a depository, vandalizing property, and thief, common, and notorious, police said.

Library staff noticed the theft around 4:30 p.m. and contacted Tewksbury police. Surveillance video shows the man carrying the donation box into the bathroom.

Library officials believe he stole about $50.
